what is it with cord?

I get the vibe that corduroy just isn't everyones cup of tea. It's on par with velvet or marmite, you either love it or you wouldn't be seen dead in it. It's an acquired taste to say the least, and I have to confess I'm bloody obsessed. As of late corduroy has had a resurgence and is back on every stylists agender (thank God!) and I simply can't get enough.

Now I don't think styling cord is a massive challenge, there's something super retro about the fabric and it has the ability to add some extra cool factor to any ensemble. But personally I wouldn't recommend teaming it with any 70's silhouettes (STEP AWAY FROM THE FLARES) but I would go for a statement blazer. Making sure to tone down the look with a plain white tee and jeans. Alternatively you could slip it over a little black dress for some vintage Christmas glam!

This beautiful, double breasted gem is probably my favourite of all three (shh don't tell Bella) and could ease itself into my wardrobe without any fuss. A slogan tee, jeans and some fresh white trainers would be the ultimate compliments to this perfect piece of tailoring.

Navy never fails! I chose this one with Christmas parties in mind. Chucked over sparkling mini dresses, statement wide leg trousers or any metallic shade you can find and this jacket will add the final classy touch.

Now this is a statement! The colour is to die for and if you really want to treat yourself before the year is out, I couldn't recommend this last blazer enough. The slight exaggerated lapel and deep pockets really set this apart from the rest!
